About the Role
Primary Responsibilities:
• Keep track of participant dietary restrictions and allergies and ensure proper snacks/meals are
distributed to each camper in your cabin.
• Coordinate daily schedule of activities and manage transitions to new activities
• Facilitate group activities for participants during free periods.
• Mediate any conflicts that may arise between members of the group.
• Delegate chores to maintain the cleanliness of the facilities.
• Report any notable concerns or incidents to managers.
• Provide a safe and healthy environment, both physically and mentally, to ensure the operation of a
quality Children’s program.
• Registering student to the program
• Planning and evaluating the program strength and weakness
• Ensures children are aware of rules, and daily scheduled routines
• Attend all staff meetings and the JPM as required to meet educational requirements establishes in
service training.
• Assist in the planning and implementing of the daily activities that fit the children’s needs and
interests. Takes responsibility for the quality of the supplies, equipment and materials
• Report all suspicions of child abuse to proper authorities.
• Make sure proper procedures are followed for sign-in/out of children on a daily basis.
• Reports all accidents to the Supervisor, and completely fills out proper health log and/or
accident/incident form
• Direct or assist in the daily maintenance of the childcare area, ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Assume equal share of the regular housekeeping chores such as cleaning, preparing for daily
activities and cleaning up after projects.
• Ensure that JPM character Traits are evident in all activities.
• Establish a relationship with each child and know his or her present level of understanding; consider
the needs of all the children and treat each child with respect and dignity.
• Work toward positive parent/staff relations.
• Participates in member retention, special events and fundraising.
• Completes all paperwork clearly and concisely.
• Perform teacher responsibilities when needed.
• Remains up to date on emergency procedures and family center policies.
• Maintaining food record

• Interaction with the children
Requirements
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
• Education, Experience and Credentials
o Be at least 18 years of age or above
o Have at least a Bachelor Degree in education
• Experience working with children preferred
• Have a car and proof of insurance
• Valid Driver's License
• Successful completion of staff training
• Willingness to assist in teaching program activities at camp
• Maturity, integrity, adaptability, enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self- control
• Must complete successful criminal background check and drug screen

Jefferson Park Ministries (JPM) After School/Summer Camp hosts after school program and summer camp
for children ages 5-13, is seeking an energetic, accountable coordinator to provide a safe and memorable
experience for our participants. The position is responsible for providing leadership, ensuring safety of all
participants and direct supervision of children in all planned activities. Duties include monitoring meals,
overseeing transitions to and from scheduled events and lessons, evaluating the program, design and
implement curriculum, outreach activities, recruiting participants for the program, networking with
potential partners, and facilitating and participating in group activities. The ideal candidate will be an
excellent multitasker with a genuine passion for working with and empowering young people. Applicants
should be patient, fun-loving and confident in their ability to motivate and assist participant in everything
from learning new skills to working through homesickness.
